What it means

The event proposal is for a time that has already passed, so accepting it would put a meeting in the past.

What to do

Propose it again for a time in the future.

Why it works this way

An event proposal rots in a way a text proposal does not. "Move standup to 9am tomorrow" sitting in a review queue overnight would book yesterday when somebody finally accepts it — so accept refuses loudly rather than booking quietly.
