Five review passes over the whole product: tighter security, features that now work end to end, an app that holds up on a phone and from the keyboard, and far more of it under test.
FixedA full security review. Secrets and live links are withheld from everything an agent or a public reader receives, workspaces stay isolated, and no single request can exhaust the server.
NewSettings has an Agents & tokens page: register an agent, mint a token with exactly the scopes and autonomy you choose, read what each scope allows, and revoke it.
FixedThe calendar works end to end: edits, moves and all-day events save, imported and subscribed calendars appear, and an agent’s proposed event shows its title, time and zone.
FixedEvery note can be found, not only the newest 200. The app fits a phone with the sidebar hidden, and keyboard, focus and contrast problems are fixed throughout.
FixedPublished pages and exports keep nested lists, images, embeds, math and callouts. Unstarring a note works again, and a password on a paste now actually protects it.
Version 0.6
Agents can accept, and a calendar
An agent may now accept its own proposal — under a grant you make on purpose, on the record, and with a page where you review or undo every one — and Fastpad owns a calendar an agent can propose into.
NewAgents can accept their own proposals, only with a token you minted with the accept scope. Every such accept is attributed, marked apart from yours, and listed on the new Agent activity page to review or revert.
NewA calendar. Fastpad owns its events, an agent can propose a meeting or a move, and nothing lands until a person accepts. Subscribe from Google, Apple or Outlook with a private feed link.
FixedUnpublishing takes effect at once. A revoked note stayed readable for up to a minute while the share dialog called it private, and nothing could list what you had published.
FixedCollections with rows no longer crash, the arrow keys no longer drop the caret into a folded section, and the save-failure message now says what is true about what happens to your text.
ChangedThe documentation opens inside the app, with a search built from its pages; the side panels collapse; and the product’s English is American throughout.
Version 0.5
Version history, and a way in from Notion
Notes remember what they used to say, imports finally have a door, and the editor picked up the pieces that were missing from it.
NewVersion history. Every editing session is a version you can open, compare against the note as it stands, and put back — restoring adds a new version, so it is itself undoable.
NewImport from Notion, Obsidian or a folder of Markdown, with the steps for getting the export out of Notion on screen, and a report of anything that did not come across.
NewHeadings fold away the section under them, columns can be resized by dragging or with the arrow keys, and the Markdown shortcuts for bold, italic, code and strikethrough work as you type.
FixedThe link button had nowhere to type a link, so it did nothing. It opens an editor now — paste an address, or just type example.com.
ChangedA note’s address carries its title, so a pasted link says what it is. Adding a type to a note is immediate rather than a wait, and the top bar no longer shuffles as a page loads.
Version 0.4
The front end, and an address of its own
A week on the parts you actually touch — the editor, the app, the site and the docs — and the agent endpoint moved to a hostname of its own.
NewAgents connect at mcp.fastpad.ai. The old address, api.fastpad.ai/mcp, is the same endpoint and keeps working permanently.
NewCode blocks are syntax-highlighted everywhere — in the editor as you type, in the docs, and on published notes — with a copy button.
ChangedA navbar on every page, a docs sidebar that stays put on a narrow screen, and a landing page built around the one thing this product does differently.
ChangedLarge notes are fast again. A 400-block note spent ten seconds on every save, and typing in any note re-rendered the whole workspace. Neither happens now.
FixedA long sweep across import, publishing, sync, search and review — including places where a published note or a digest showed text that redaction had already removed.
Version 0.3
A real editor, in two languages
The editor became something you can write a document in, and the whole product — app, site and documentation — became fully bilingual.
NewA block editor: a / menu, drag-and-drop blocks, toggles, columns, bookmarks, files, a table of contents, and to-dos that hold their state.
NewCollections — filter and lay out a set of notes, inline or on their own page — with typed properties and comments on any block.
New@ and [[ mention another note, and a reference can be opened in place: peek shows the note you linked without leaving the one you are writing.
NewEvery screen in English and Spanish, editor and agent review lane included. Choose a language anywhere in the app and the choice follows you.
NewEleven documentation pages in both languages — as HTML, as plain Markdown at /{locale}/docs/{slug}/md, and as /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt for agents.
Version 0.2
Accounts, agents and sync
Fastpad stopped being a demo: real accounts, a workspace that persists, agents connecting over MCP with their own tokens, and the queue that keeps their writes out of your notes until you say so.
NewEmail and password accounts. Signing up creates your workspace in the same transaction, so there is no half-provisioned state to land in.
NewAn MCP endpoint with RFC 9728 discovery. Agents authenticate with scoped fpk_ tokens they hold themselves, and revoking one revokes everything delegated from it.
NewA review queue: every proposal from your agents, with the before and after of each change and a one-click accept. Accepting is always a person, never a credential.
NewLive sync across devices, typed links with backlinks, and publishing — a note readable at /n/{id} with no account, as HTML or as Markdown.
FixedSearch had returned nothing for every query since launch, because notes were never indexed. They are now indexed seconds after you stop typing.
Version 0.1
First release
The API, the note model, and the database everything else sits on.
NewNotes, blocks, typed properties and a typed link graph.
NewMarkdown import, and export that round-trips.
ChangedPostgres moved to a managed provider: queries about three times faster, on connections verified against the provider certificate rather than merely encrypted.
